Tumbleweed Distillery Creates ‘Final Salute’ Whisky to Support Memorial Ribbon Scholarship

Tumbleweed Distillery, based in Osoyoos BC, has created a new limited-edition single malt whisky called ‘Final Salute’, with proceeds going to support the Memorial Ribbon Scholarship. $20 out of every bottle sold of the run of 500 will result in a total donation of $10,000 to the Scholarship.

Bottles are available for purchase online with shipping available anywhere in Canada.

‘Final Salute’ is desert-aged, 100% malted barley and matured over 5 years and showcases a strong oaky character with notes of vanilla, cinnamon, and caramel flavours of the whisky.

On average, Canada loses three police and peace officers in the line of duty per year. Officers from all across Canada and other nations attend funerals as a sign of respect to the officer and their sacrifice. It also shows the family that the officer did not die in vain and will always be remembered. During these funerals / memorials there is typically a toast to the fallen; this is a special tradition, normally held after the event, where those officers that continue the fight take a moment to remember and honour the sacrifice of the fallen officer with a toast using a fine whisky. This amazing partnership with Tumbleweed Distillery will go a long way to support the children of these fallen heroes. Thank you Mike Patterson, Jaime Crain and all the staff from Tumbleweed Distillery.
