On October 8, 2011 the Police and Peace Officers’ Memorial Ribbon Society, in partnership with the University of Calgary, will be awarding the first Memorial Ribbon Scholarship to Kevin Minguy in Vernon, British Columbia. Kevin in the eldest son of Constable Jean (Joseph) Minguy who died in Vernon in 2005. The University of Calgary will be be awarding tuition while the Society will be awarding the funding for any books required.
