Police and Peace Officers’ Memorial Ribbon Society Directors Shawn Coady and James Pearson recently present the co-owner of Tumbleweed Spirits Craft Distillery, Mike Patterson, with a framed print ‘Salute to Our Fallen Heroes’ for their support and generous donation towards the Memorial Ribbon Scholarship.
At the beginning of 2025, Tumbleweed Distillery created the limited edition single malt whisky ‘Final Salute’ for the Society, with money from each sale going towards the Scholarship. By November of this year, two runs of the whisky were sold out, and Mike presented a large donation cheque to the Scholarship. The money raised will go directly to the children of fallen officers towards post secondary education.
