Donut Man Raises $1,500 Towards Memorial Ribbon Scholarship in 2024

On the anniversary of the line of duty deaths of two Edmonton police officers (Constable Brett Ryan and Constable Travis Jordan), The Donut Man in Crossfield Alberta held a fundraiser with their Memorial Ribbon donuts. The Donut Man raised $1,500 which they donated to the Police and Peace Officers’ Memorial Ribbon Society Scholarship. The photo shows The Donut Man owner Charlotte turning over a cheque to Director / Scholarship Chair James Pearson and President Shawn Coady.

The scholarship was created so that the children of fallen officers can attend a post secondary institution anywhere they wish. To date, the Memorial Ribbon Scholarship has supported 29 children of fallen officers, with the scholarship writing cheques totalling over $350,000 since 2011.

Charlotte and The Donut Man plan on making this an annual fundraiser event. Thank you Charlotte for all your support!
